White gold and Diamonds

Hello. This video contains exactly the two materials where I have the greatest difficulty achieving realism: white gold and diamonds. Do the standard materials in the KS library achieve this level of imaging?

It’s depend not only on materials but also on lighting setup and rendering settings. I think it’s possible to achieve good results in KS, try to dig ‘Amazing animations’ and ‘Amazing shots’ sections here.

this is a rendering i did some time ago. only KS standard materials are used

White Gold is de facto not distinguishable from steel or platinum on any picture taken in real life. Just find good reference images, apply the standard materials and learn as much as you can about the HDRI editor. It will be your lighting that makes or breaks your render. Make sure that your piece of jewelry and your diamonds are correctly modelled, and that they do not intersect with any other objects, especially the with the prongs!
